Healthy Eating

The Carver Neighborhood Market is not only focused on providing foods to neighborhoods in need, but we are also focused on providing healthy food items.

The National Center for Health Statistics states that only 6/10 adolescents consumed fruit on any given day. As we are pulling a lot of produce from Atlanta harvest and other local urban farmers, we strive to better these number and increase the availability and desire to consumer healthier foods.

The Center for Disease Control dictates that eating healthy helps reduce one's risk for osteoporosis, iron deficiency, cavities, and developing obesity, which 40% of households in Atlanta include a member with diabetes. Our market will provide farm-fresh organic produce to help sustain healthier households and healthier living for South Atlanta and surrounding communities.
